In the early hours of this morning, the polls closed and the top two stories from each group was confirmed to be published in the anthology.
After yesterday’s tie-breaker, it’s a shame to see that the ultimate winner – The Three Doctors – nevertheless couldn’t secure enough support to make it into the top 8. An excellent range of stories for the outcome with one title for the first five Doctors despite the loss of the Sixth Doctor in round two. Appropriate, then, that the results should start with a story that brings together those five incarnations.
But it’s not over yet! We may have the ten titles for the book but this game plays to the finish! Voting is well underway for which of the top 8 will progress to the semi-finals. Meanwhile, the runner-up polls are open to pick the final two stories that will make it into the book.
And it’s great to see some fan-beloved stories given a second chance:
We’re expecting the results of the runner-up votes tomorrow morning when will have the final list of which stories are going into the Terrance Dicks anthology. But we’ll also be one step closer to crowning the most popular novelization in the Dicks canon as the end of the Terrance Dicks World Cup draws closer.
We’ll bring you more analysis of the results tomorrow. But for now, let us know in the comments which stories you’re hoping to see in the anthology.
